Terms of Service.

Pathcast is a website at pathcast.ai. You add your résumé or type your job title, check the role and tasks we find, say where you are right now, and set your own assumptions about how AI develops. Your browser then builds your report: which parts of your work look durable, which are exposed, two possible futures for your role, ranked next moves, and a week-by-week plan.

We cover a fixed list of roles that we have researched by hand. If your role is not on the list, Pathcast can't build a report for it yet. You can tell us your title instead.

You don't need an account. Your résumé, answers and report stay in your browser and are gone when you close the tab. To keep your plan, you can save it as a PDF, add it to your calendar, keep a plan link, or save it with your email address. Your résumé is never saved with us.

If you save your plan by email, we email you a link that opens it on any device, then one email a week with that week's sessions for thirteen weeks, plus two short notes in the first two weeks and one short check-in about 90 days after the plan ends. You can stop the emails or delete your saved plan at any time from your plan page. Keep your link private, because anyone who has it can open your plan.

You must be at least 16 years old and able to enter into a binding agreement where you live. If you are under 18, you should have a parent or guardian's permission.

You don't need an account or an email address to use Pathcast. If you save your plan by email, use an address that is yours. Only invite an accountability partner who knows you and would expect the invitation.

You can use Pathcast for your own career planning, and that is what it is for.

You may not:

• Use a résumé that is not yours without that person's permission. (Running a plan for a friend, with their permission, is fine.)
• Use Pathcast to evaluate employees, candidates, or anyone other than yourself, without their knowledge and consent.
• Copy, scrape, or bulk-download our reports, role analyses, or task data, or use automated tools to do so.
• Resell, sublicense, or repackage our reports or methodology.
• Use our reports or role data to build a competing product or to train a machine-learning model.
• Try to get around rate limits or access controls.
• Interfere with the service, probe it for weaknesses without our written permission, or send it malicious files or content.
• Impersonate anyone, or pretend to be affiliated with us.
• Post a review that is fake, abusive, or written for someone else's gain.
• Use the service in a way that breaks any law.

If you break these rules, we may block your access to Pathcast or remove what you sent us. See section 9.

Pathcast is free for everyone. There are no plans, no payments and no subscriptions.

Your résumé is yours. You own your résumé, your answers and your corrections. They stay in your browser, and we never receive them.

Reviews you send. You own what you write. When you send a review, you let us show it on Pathcast, with the first name you give and the role your plan was for, and quote it on the site. We read every review before posting it and post honest ones, good and bad. We may decline spam, abuse or anything off-topic. Ask us at any time and we will take yours down.

The reports and methodology are ours. Pathcast owns its site, the role analyses, the task decompositions, the scoring methods, the report structure, the report text we generate, and all the software. This is protected by copyright and other intellectual-property law.

What you can do with your report. You get a personal, non-transferable license to read, download, and print your report, and to share it with people in your own life: a partner, a mentor, a manager, a friend. You may quote from it. You may not sell it, publish it commercially, or use it to build a product.

Feedback. If you send us suggestions or feedback, we can use them without owing you anything. We will not use your name unless you say we can.

Our names and marks. "Pathcast" and our logo are ours. Do not use them in a way that suggests we endorse you or your product.

Pathcast is provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent the law allows, we make no promises about it, express or implied, including no promise that it is accurate, complete, fit for any particular purpose, uninterrupted, or error-free.

More plainly: we work hard to make the reports good and the site reliable. We check what we recommend. But analysis of the future is uncertain by nature, we are a small team, and things will sometimes be wrong or go down. You use the service knowing that.

Some places do not allow warranty disclaimers. If you live in one, this section applies only as far as your local law allows.

To the fullest extent the law allows:

• We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost income, lost opportunities, or lost data, arising from your use of Pathcast, even if we were told such damages were possible.
• Our total liability to you for anything arising from these terms or the service is limited to $100.
• We are not liable for decisions you make based on a report. Whether to leave a job, take a course, spend money, or change direction is your decision, made with your knowledge of your own life.

Some places do not allow some of these limits. If you live in one, these limits apply only as far as your local law allows. Nothing in these terms limits liability for fraud, for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for anything else the law says cannot be limited.

You can stop any time. Close the tab and your résumé, answers and report are gone from your browser. If you saved your plan, you can stop the emails or delete it from your plan page. To remove a review or an email you sent us, write to us. The Privacy Policy describes the rest.

We can block access to Pathcast for anyone who breaks these terms, or if the law requires it.

If we shut Pathcast down, we will post a notice on the site at least 60 days in advance and then delete what we hold as the Privacy Policy describes.

Sections that by their nature should survive (ownership, no warranty, limitation of liability, governing law) still apply after you stop using Pathcast.

We will change these terms when the product changes or the law does. When we do, we will update the effective date at the top and keep a change log at the bottom. If a change is significant (it affects your rights or our liability), we will post a notice on the site at least 30 days before it takes effect. If you keep using Pathcast after that date, you accept the new terms. If you do not accept them, you can stop using Pathcast.

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware and the federal laws of the United States, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.

Any dispute between you and us about these terms or about Pathcast will be decided in the state or federal courts located in Delaware. You and we each agree to the jurisdiction of those courts.

There is no arbitration clause in these terms, and no class-action waiver. If you are a consumer and the law where you live gives you rights that cannot be waived, including a right to bring a claim in your home courts, nothing here takes those rights away.

If you have a problem, please email us first at [email protected]. Most things can be sorted out that way.

• Whole agreement. These terms and the Privacy Policy are the whole agreement between you and us about Pathcast.
• If part of this is unenforceable, the rest still applies.
• If we do not enforce a term on one occasion, we can still enforce it later.
• You cannot transfer these terms to someone else. We can transfer them if Pathcast is sold or merged, and we will tell you if that happens.
• Notices to you are posted on the site, or sent by email if you have written to us. Notices to us go to the email address in this document.
• Language. These terms are written in English. If we translate them, the English version controls.
