Draft for legal review. These terms were written by the Pathcast team in plain language. They have not yet been reviewed by a lawyer. They must be reviewed before launch, and they are not legal advice.

The short version

Pathcast gives you a report about what AI is likely to mean for your specific job, and what you might do about it. It is information and analysis to help you think. It is not professional advice, and it cannot promise how your career will go.

By using Pathcast you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the service. Your privacy is covered separately in our Privacy Policy and in How We Handle Your Résumé.

1. What Pathcast is

Pathcast is a website at pathcast.ai. You upload a résumé, confirm the tasks that make up your job, answer a few questions, and set your own assumptions about how AI develops. We give you a report: which parts of your work look durable, which are exposed, two possible futures for your role, ranked next moves, and a week-by-week plan.

We cover a fixed list of roles that we have researched by hand. If your role is not on the list, we will not generate a report for it. You can join a waitlist instead.

2. What Pathcast is not

This section matters. Please read it.

Pathcast is not advice. Your report is career information and analysis. It is not legal advice, financial advice, investment advice, tax advice, employment advice, or career counselling. We are not lawyers, financial advisers, licensed career counsellors, or employment agencies, and we are not acting as any of those for you.

Pathcast is not a prediction. Nobody knows how AI will develop or how your employer will respond. That is why you set the assumptions yourself. A report built on your assumptions is only as good as those assumptions. We do not claim to know the future and you should not treat the report as if we do.

Pathcast is not a guarantee. We do not promise that following a report will get you a job, keep your job, raise your pay, get you a promotion, or lead to any other outcome. Careers depend on far more than what any report can see.

Pathcast is not a substitute for people who know your situation. Before you make a decision with real consequences — quitting, retraining, spending money on a credential, taking on debt, moving — talk to people who know you and, where appropriate, a qualified professional.

Pathcast does not verify your résumé. We take what you upload as true. We do not check it with anyone.

We check our recommendations, but things change. We verify that the credentials, courses, and resources we recommend exist and cost what we say. Each one carries the date we last checked. Prices, availability, and providers change after that date. Check before you spend.

We receive no money from anyone we recommend. We do not take referral fees, commissions, or any other payment from training providers, bootcamps, credential issuers, or employers. If that ever changes, we will say so in the report and in these terms.

3. Who can use Pathcast

You must be at least 16 years old and able to enter into a binding agreement where you live. If you are under 18, you should have a parent or guardian's permission. You must give us a working email address.

You are responsible for keeping your password private and for everything that happens under your account. Tell us at once if you think someone else has used it.

One person, one account. You may not share an account or let someone else use yours.

4. What you can and cannot do

You can use Pathcast for your own career planning, and that is what it is for.

You may not:

• Upload a résumé that is not yours, or that you do not have the right to upload. (Uploading on behalf of a friend, with their permission, is fine.)
• Use Pathcast to evaluate employees, candidates, or anyone other than yourself, without their knowledge and consent.
• Copy, scrape, or bulk-download our reports, role analyses, or task data, or use automated tools to do so.
• Resell, sublicense, or repackage our reports or methodology.
• Use our reports or role data to build a competing product or to train a machine-learning model.
• Try to get around paywalls, rate limits, or access controls.
• Interfere with the service, probe it for weaknesses without our written permission, or upload malicious files.
• Impersonate anyone, or pretend to be affiliated with us.
• Use the service in a way that breaks any law.

If you break these rules, we may suspend or close your account. See section 10.

5. Plans and pricing

Prices are shown on the site at the time you buy. In US dollars, at launch:

We may change prices. If we raise the monthly price, we will email you at least 30 days before it applies to you, and you can cancel before then.

Taxes: prices do not include sales tax or VAT unless we say so. Where we are required to collect it, it is added at checkout.

6. Billing, subscriptions, and cancellation

Payment. All payments go through Stripe. You agree to Stripe's terms when you pay. We never see your full card number.

One-time purchases ($29 full report, $19 add-ons) are charged once, when you buy. What you bought stays unlocked on your account as long as your account exists.

The $7 monthly plan renews automatically every month on the day you first subscribed, until you cancel. Your card is charged at the start of each billing period.

Cancelling. You can cancel from your account settings at any time. No emails, no phone calls, no "are you sure" chain. When you cancel:

• You keep access to the monthly features until the end of the period you have already paid for.
• You are not charged again.
• You keep everything you bought as a one-time purchase.
• Your report stays on your account. Cancelling the subscription does not delete your data. Deleting your account does (see the Privacy Policy).

Failed payments. If a monthly payment fails, we will try again over the following days and email you. If it still fails, your monthly features pause until payment goes through. We do not close your account or delete anything for a failed payment.

Refunds. Pathcast does not have a general refund policy. One-time purchases and monthly charges are not refunded once the content has been delivered or the billing period has started. We say this plainly so there is no surprise later.

That said: if something has gone wrong on our side — a report that failed to generate, a double charge, a bug that stopped you from getting what you paid for — email us at [email protected] and we will put it right. That is a matter of fixing our mistakes, not a refund policy, and it is at our discretion. Nothing here limits any refund right that consumer law in your country gives you and that cannot be waived.

7. Who owns what

Your résumé is yours. You own your résumé, your answers, and your corrections. You give us a limited licence to use them to make your report, run the service, and do what the Privacy Policy describes. That licence ends when you delete the data or your account, except where we must keep records by law.

The reports and methodology are ours. Agori Labs owns the Pathcast site, the role analyses, the task decompositions, the scoring methods, the report structure, the report text we generate, and all the software. This is protected by copyright and other intellectual-property law.

What you can do with your report. You get a personal, non-transferable licence to read, download, and print your report, and to share it with people in your own life — a partner, a mentor, a manager, a friend. You may quote from it. You may not sell it, publish it commercially, or use it to build a product.

Feedback. If you send us suggestions or feedback, we can use them without owing you anything. We will not use your name unless you say we can.

Our names and marks. "Pathcast" and our logo are ours. Do not use them in a way that suggests we endorse you or your product.

8. No warranty

Pathcast is provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent the law allows, we make no promises about it — express or implied — including no promise that it is accurate, complete, fit for any particular purpose, uninterrupted, or error-free.

More plainly: we work hard to make the reports good and the site reliable. We check what we recommend. But analysis of the future is uncertain by nature, we are a two-person company, and things will sometimes be wrong or go down. You use the service knowing that.

Some places do not allow warranty disclaimers. If you live in one, this section applies only as far as your local law allows.

9. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows:

• We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost income, lost opportunities, or lost data, arising from your use of Pathcast — even if we were told such damages were possible.
• Our total liability to you for anything arising from these terms or the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose, or $100, whichever is greater.
• We are not liable for decisions you make based on a report. Whether to leave a job, take a course, spend money, or change direction is your decision, made with your knowledge of your own life.

Some places do not allow some of these limits. If you live in one, these limits apply only as far as your local law allows. Nothing in these terms limits liability for fraud, for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for anything else the law says cannot be limited.

10. Ending your account

You can leave any time. Delete your account from settings. The Privacy Policy describes what happens to your data.

We can close your account if you break these terms, if we must for legal reasons, or if you are on the free plan and have not signed in for 12 months. If we close your account for breaking the rules, we will tell you why unless the law prevents it. If we close it for any other reason, we will give you at least 30 days' notice and a chance to download your report.

If we shut Pathcast down, we will email every account holder at least 60 days in advance, keep the site up long enough for you to download your report, and then delete all data as the Privacy Policy describes. Monthly subscribers will not be charged for any period after the service ends.

Sections that by their nature should survive — ownership, no warranty, limitation of liability, governing law — survive the end of your account.

11. Changes to these terms

We will change these terms when the product changes or the law does. When we do, we will update the effective date at the top and keep a change log at the bottom. If a change is significant — it affects pricing, billing, your rights, or our liability — we will email you at least 30 days before it takes effect. If you keep using Pathcast after that date, you accept the new terms. If you do not accept them, you can cancel and delete your account before that date.

12. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware and the federal laws of the United States, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.

Any dispute between you and us about these terms or about Pathcast will be decided in the state or federal courts located in Delaware. You and we each agree to the jurisdiction of those courts.

There is no arbitration clause in these terms, and no class-action waiver. If you are a consumer and the law where you live gives you rights that cannot be waived, including a right to bring a claim in your home courts, nothing here takes those rights away.

13. Everything else

• Whole agreement. These terms, the Privacy Policy, and any plan-specific terms shown at checkout are the whole agreement between you and us about Pathcast.
• If part of this is unenforceable, the rest still applies.
• If we do not enforce a term on one occasion, we can still enforce it later.
• You cannot transfer your account or these terms to someone else. We can transfer them if Agori Labs is sold or merged, and we will tell you if that happens.
• Notices to you go to the email on your account. Notices to us go to the email address in this document.
• Language. These terms are written in English. If we translate them, the English version controls.
